Between 1992 and 1993 with funding from the King County Arts Commission’s 1% for Art Program I photographed for a collaborative program of the King County Arts & Landmarks Commissions. The Landmarks Commission designates and protects significant historical and cultural resources in unincorporated King County and had an extensive inventory of historic sites. Only a fraction of those were eligible for preservation funds. Working from that inventory of farms, residences, industrial and commercial lands I selected sites to photograph. With one exception none of the properties I photographed were protected as historic landmarks.
